This twelve mile route located adjacent to the Great Pee Dee River in upper Georgetown County, is the state's latest addition to its scenic highway network.
Located on secondary roads S-22-4 and S-22-52, it is the home to numerous historic sites related to the area's rice culture. Samworth Plantation, owned by the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, is a great location for observing wildlife and learning about animal habitat of the area.
