Public Information Meetings

Two Public Information Meetings were held on April 26 & April 27 Concerning Proposed I-20 Widening in Northeast Richland County.

The purpose of the meetings was to provide information to the public concerning the proposed limits and scope of the project, project schedule, and plan for maintaining traffic during construction. Representatives from SCDOT were available to discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis. This was an opportunity for the public to ask questions and to comment on the proposed improvements.

The public was encouraged to attend the drop-in meetings, which were held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on:

• Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Polo Road Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room, located at 1250 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223
• Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Pontiac Elementary School Cafeteria, located at 500 Spears Creek Church Road, Elgin, SC 29045

All comments received by May 12, 2010 were made a part of an official public meeting file, which is available for review along with the displays in the SCDOT Midlands Regional Production Office at 955 Park Street in Columbia, SC 29201.
